Retailer Iceland has awarded a £10m contract for marketing activity, including point-of-sale materials, to the print and campaign management group HH Global

The contract covers point-of-sale, print management, data services, online catalogues and warehousing and logistics, covering all of Iceland's network of more than 700 stores.

It is the latest step in a seven-year relationship between the two businesses and will, according to a statement on the deal, deliver cost savings.

In today's statement on the news, Nigel Broadhurst, buying director at Iceland, said:"Price points are obviously important when awarding business; but Iceland greatly value efficient campaign delivery and quality of the product.

"HH Global has consistently provided this which ensured that, along with further cost reduction, HH Global retained the business."

Robert MacMillan, chief executive of HH Global, added:? "We are proud to have been working with Iceland for many years and are extremely pleased to be continuing to provide excellent service and deliver the cost savings needed to meet business objectives.

"It is a relationship built on trust and we look forward to growing and developing it further."

HH Global announced the launch last January of a packaging management division; a move it said at the time responded to retailers' growing desire to review their packaging supply chains.
